CHAPTER-1 BOMBAY
We are extremely delighted to have held our first out-of-city session at Rotary Sanskardham Academy with 80 incredibly gifted and talented students!
It was a pleasure interacting with these lovely souls, who, despite challenges in hearing or speaking, found creative and beautiful ways to communicate.
Their bright smiles and eagerness to learn truly warmed our hearts!
Through simple yet thoughtfully designed activities on identity and self-image, we realized how much we learned from them.
It was an unforgettable experience, and we can’t wait to share more about our upcoming Arth Circles soon!
Want to become a chapter?
Here is all you need to know.
Step 1: Explore the Need
Before starting a chapter, ask yourself:
-
Does your city or community have under-resourced groups that would benefit from art-based mental health support?
-
Are there volunteers or peers who are interested in mental health, art therapy, or social impact?
-
Do you have access to skilled facilitators, educators, or artists who can help lead sessions?

Check the “What’s Needed to Start a Chapter” section below to ensure your city meets the basic requirements. If yes, you’re ready to move forward!
Step 2: Fill the Chapter Interest Form
Complete the form with details about your city, your motivation, and your network. This helps us understand your vision and the potential impact in your area.
Step 3: Interview with the Core Team
Shortlisted applicants will be invited for a virtual interview. We’ll discuss your goals, local context, and how we can support you. If there’s a good fit, you’ll be officially onboarded as a Chapter Lead.
What’s Needed to Start a Chapter
To ensure sustainability and impact, a city must have:

-
Local Need: A community (NGOs, schools, shelters, etc.) that would benefit from art-based mental health interventions.

-
Volunteer Base: A small team of 3–5 committed individuals with an interest in mental health, the arts, or community service.

-
Facilitator Network: At least one trained artist, therapist, counselor, or educator who can help lead or co-lead sessions.

-
Space & Materials: Access to community spaces and basic art materials (can be low-cost or donated).

-
Communication Access: Someone who can regularly communicate with the central team for updates and support.
Becoming a Chapter Lead
Chapter Leads are the backbone of Arth’s community model. As a Lead, you’ll:

-
Coordinate local sessions and partnerships

-
Guide your team of volunteers and facilitators

-
Report progress and challenges to the central team

-
Attend monthly training and reflection calls

-
Help build a culture of empathy, creativity, and inclusion in your region

If you’re passionate, organized, and ready to drive change through the arts, we’d love to have you on board.
