Discover Saanjh

What is Saanjh?
Saanjh is an activity-based, first-level screening tool designed to help pre-primary educators identify early signs of learning disorders in children aged 3–6 through simple, play-integrated classroom activities. Focused on conditions like Specific Learning Disorder (SLD), ADHD, and Speech and Language Disabilities, Saanjh enables teachers—without requiring clinical training—to observe developmental patterns across domains such as memory, attention, motor coordination, and language. Built for low-resource and multilingual settings, the tool is non-invasive, inclusive, and easy to use, allowing educators to flag potential learning difficulties early and refer children for further support. By bridging the gap between observation and intervention, Saanjh promotes timely identification, supports inclusive education, and helps ensure that no child's learning needs go unseen.
Why Saanjh?

Learning disorders in young children often go unnoticed due to their invisible nature and the lack of structured screening in early education, especially in under-resourced settings. Without early identification, children with conditions like SLD, ADHD, or speech and language difficulties face long-term academic and emotional challenges. Saanjh addresses this gap by equipping educators with a simple, play-based tool to observe and flag early signs of learning differences—without needing clinical expertise. It empowers schools to take the first crucial step toward inclusive education, ensuring that every child is seen, supported, and given the chance to thrive.
Development of Saanjh
Through 8 months of data collection, testing and trial, Saanjh was developed with the help of expert psychologists and psychiatrists. Preliminary trials were done with 250+ children aged 6-14 from 5 different schools across Jaipur. Feedback integration was a key part from both teachers' and students' sides, following which this pre-diagnostic toolkit was developed.
